2016 年 ART TAIPEI 台北國際藝術博覽會由王瑞棋理事長領軍、秘書長游文玫、執行長王焜生共同籌辦。台北藝博執行委員會看準全球藝術焦點東移趨勢，定位 ART TAIPEI 台北國際藝術博覽會為軸心角色串接亞太地區，以「亞太藝術，匯聚台北」為展覽主題，台灣 67 家、國際 83 家展商參展。台北藝博攜手亞太畫廊聯盟（APAGA）成員，將最完整的亞太地區藝術光譜帶入展場，台北藝術產經研究室並同步出版《亞太藝術市場報告 2015/16》，成為第一本亞太區觀點出發之國際文化視覺藝術產業發展趨勢報告。展會也第一次受到教育部支持，舉辦第一屆「藝術教育日」，將 ART TAIPEI 視作藝術教育推廣平台，創造 ART TAIPEI 與其他國際型藝博會的差異性，進而彰顯其獨特之價值。2016台北藝博空間設計得到 2016「金點設計獎」Golden Pin Design Award，並獲經濟部國貿局頒發臺灣會展獎展覽甲類「銀質獎」之殊榮。

The 2016 ART TAIPEI was organized by the chairman of TAGA Rick Wang, secretary-general Yiu Wenmei, and executive director Emerson Wang. ART TAIPEI executive committee recognized the emerging global art trend shifting towards the East, and positioned ART TAIPEI as the central hub connecting the Asia-Pacific region. The exposition theme was "Asia-Pacific Art, Converging in Taipei," with participation from 67 Taiwanese and 83 international exhibitors. ART Taipei collaborated with members of the Asia-Pacific Art Gallery Alliance (APAGA), bringing the most comprehensive spectrum of art from the Asia-Pacific region to the venue. The Taipei Art Economy Research Center simultaneously released the "Asia-Pacific Art Market Report 2015/16," becoming the first international cultural visual art industry trend report based on an Asia-Pacific perspective. The fair received support from the Ministry of Education for the first time and held its first "Art Education Day.” This event positioned ART TAIPEI as a platform for promoting art education, creating differentiation between ART TAIPEI and other international art fairs, and thereby highlighting its unique value. The exhibition space design of the 2016 ART TAIPEI received the "Golden Pin Design Award" and was honored with the "Silver Award" in the Exhibition Category of the Taiwan Exhibition Awards presented by the International Trade Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs.
